Sports & Recreation
Right in the IMU (on the mezzanine level) are a bowling alley & billiards area, both reasonably priced.
The recreation facilities at Indiana University are available to guests on the campus. There are two main sports complexes, HPER (Health, Physical Education & Recreation) and SRSC (Student Recreational Sports Center). The HPER facility is located across the street from the IMU; SRSC is a 12-15 minute walk.
The HPER facility has indoor and outdoor tracks, an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and strength & conditional equipment. SRSC includes an indoor and outdoor swimming pools plus a diving well, an elevated jogging track, basketball, racquetball and handball courts, and 400 pieces of strength & training equipment.

The Arts
Within a 3 to 5 minute walk of IMU are the IU Art Museum, the SOFA Art Gallery, the Lilly Library (rare books and manuscripts), and the Arboretum – all free. The SOFA Gallery often contains works of IU students and faculty. The wonders of the Lilly Library vary from the New Testament of the Gutenberg Bible to original Audubon prints. The Arboretum, located behind the IU Art Museum, is available for strolling, jogging, relaxing. For information about facility hours:
