Youth Program

In conjunction with the MSWW, the Labor Studies Program at Indiana University is pleased to offer a youth program for children, age 13-17, of conference participants. This program will run simultaneously with the MSWW. The program is designed to provide experiences connected with the labor movement in an effort to educate, as well as entertain, our future union leaders. Through these experiences young people can develop an understanding of the labor movement and the world of work, exercising a democratic voice in the decisions that affect everyday life, learning about the natural environment, and having a lot of fun. The schedule will include classes on the basics of collective bargaining, forming and joining a union, and work organization.

Cost: $150.00 per student which includes meals and sleeping accommodations within parent's room.
